| As you know Chuck, I'm in awe of people like you who can build their own smokers...your rig is really cool. I particularly like your unique way of holding your doors open...MAGNETS! How cool is that?!?! | |

| Great pics. I'm with Jim, I'm envious that you built it yourself. | |

| I just use a Bar-B-Chef Offset Smoker available at your local Barbecues Galore . I'm just getting started in competing. What I'd like is a DP Fat 50 or something like one of your Good Ones. I like the way the fire box is located on them and think they'd give a more even cook. Here's a pic of the CrazyQ team (my son Davis and Don) this last September when we won the rib cook-off in Live Oak. | |

Great looking set-up you have there Don! I've seen the Fat-50, but never cooked on one...seems to be a decent enough rig. If you're able to get your hands on a Good-One, go for it! Obviously (with them being a sponsor) I am a little biased, but I have their Chuckwagon model (a combination of their Rodeo Smoker and Lonestar Grill on one trailer) and couldn't be happier. The thing holds temps great with little attention. I can actually get decent sleep at contests, and it has plenty of room to cook for a small army should the occassion arise. Whatever brand you end up getting, just take the time to get to know the rig and have fun! Carpe 'Que, Jim

Great looking set-up you have there Don! Hey, wait a minute, I'm Sal, not Don. I was the one taking the action photos. Here's a full Team CrazyQ pic with me in it. Starting from the left is the lady that gave us the trophy, Don, Me (Sal), and Davis (my son). I forgot my pith helmet that day, so that's why I'm not wearing one. Sorry for the confusion.
